A FANATIC GEEK In what way could it be used to illustrate it? Key issues found in class: 1. Would the internet be a threat to culture and art ? or controversly can it foster it? 2. Is the younger generation really aware of illegal practices when it comes to culture? 3. THE IDEA OF PROGRESS A  Fanatic  Geek at the Cannes Film Festival (by Patrick Chappatte, published in  The International Herald Tribune  on 0 5/16/2 008)   Patrick Chapatte, also known as Chapatte, was born in Karachi, pakistan in 1967. His  mother was Lebanese and his father from Switzerland. He was raised there and in Singapore. Now, he lives between Geneva and Los Angeles.  Since 1995 he dedicated his life to graphic journalism. He is a cartoonist and an illustrator who draws for famous newspapers like Le Temps, The New Zurich Time, The Internatioanl New York Time, New York Time or Newsweek. He has collaborated with editorial cartoonist in conflict-ridden countries in order to promote the communication through cartooning.
