Each progression has its own advantages and disadvantages, for exemple if we resolve medical issues we will save life but it will cost a lot.


Is it profitable (= beneficial / rewarding )  or is it potentially dangerous  ( unfavorable /disadvantageous)
for human beings? Why?
It also depends on the point of view, something rewarding can be unfavorable in another area
Is the impact positive or negative?  For whom?
It depends on the idea raised. It can have positive or negative impact.
Can we afford to reject progress or can’t we do without it (nowadays & in future)?
I think that we can't do without progress. We can't reject it because even if it's not always positive it contributes to the human development. Nowadays, we live in a society which has a lot of defect and we need to improve and correct them thanks to progress.

Can’t we improve on the idea of progress  commonly accepted  in  our  modern world and consumer society? If so, how?
